THE HISTORY AND TECHNIQUES OF STOP MOTION ANIMATION
Welcome back to members old and new as we kick off our new season with a presentation by Alex Montague on the history and art of stop-motion animation, looking back at techniques that are almost as old as the medium of film itself.  What we learn this week will be put into practice next week, so pay attention at the back!

PROJECT ONE: STOP MOTION ANIMATION
Utilising the information gained last week, members are invited to produce a short stop motion animation of between 10 – 30 seconds on any subject and in any genre.  Creative caps on!

Members should bring either a digital picture camera that uses a SD card, a tripod and general household items, for example pens, paper or tape. These items will be used to animate. Even if  not everyone will be able to bring equipment,  hopefully there will be enough resources for sharing.
