ARE FILMS TOO VIOLENT?
Are violent films having a detrimental effect on our culture and society?  Or should audiences be trusted to distinguish between fictional and real violence without censorious intervention? Bring along your views as we traverse this moral maze.

CHARACTER PROFILES
This week, we'll be developing character profiles. As a starting point for screenplays, screenwriters often begin with the film's characters, an essential component of any story. The profiles will include physical description, types of clothes they wear, their vocabulary, their parents, school they attended, physical characteristics, their relationships.  Plus any other details. Potentially, the characters developed will be incorporated in future Club productions.

"THE TIPWRITER"
This week, we'll be dipping into the archive and looking at a film entitled  "The Tipwriter", which members of the Club made in 1969. There is a lot to tell about this film and Ashby Ball will be giving us an insight into the making of the film.
